Vocational Pathway

Vocational pathways are designed to support skills and knowledge development of learners in a chosen field, this may be in a chosen vocational are or be more generic skills development for preparing for employment.

 

Every personal vocational pathway is different, a pathway will be designed around an individual’s interests, needs and future aspirations.

Pathway accreditation

Examples of vocational pathway choices are listed below however we can offer a wide range of other qualification pathways through discussion:

  • Pearson BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Teamwork and Personal Skills in the Community

  • Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Award in Vocational Studies

  • Pearson BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Exploring the Construction and Engineering Sectors

  • Pearson Entry Level Awards and Certificate in Workskills

  • Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Award in Land-Based Studies

  • Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Award in Construction

 

Functional skills in Maths and English at Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2 depending on current ability and initial assessment.

After the initial nurturing period, learners with us will be supported and encouraged to experience a range of different roles and responsibilities. Opportunities that will be available at include:

 

  • ​Work experience

  • Volunteering

  • Social, functional and independent living skills

  • Enterprise development e.g., growing, building, fixing and selling

  • Social entrepreneurship
