Employability Pathway

These pathways are delivered at a range of levels from Entry Level through to Level 2. This Pathway is suited to those wishing to develop their employability skills, young people may or may not know the industry that they want to commit to, and this programme is geared towards developing essential employability skills and explore different vocational avenues.  

This pathway will also include the opportunity to engage with work experience and on the job skills.

 

Programme Qualification Building:

 

BTEC Work Skills Level 1 and 2 Example units:

  • Achieving Success at Interview

  • Applying for Jobs

  • Preparing for Work Placement

  • Learning from Work Placement

  • Managing Own Money

  • Health and Safety at Work

  • Building Working Relationships with Colleagues

  • Developing Resilience for Work

  • Personal Presentation for the Workplace

 

Functional skills in Maths and English at Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2 depending on current ability and initial assessment.

After the initial nurturing period, learners with us will be supported and encouraged to experience a range of different roles and responsibilities. Opportunities that will be available at include:

 

  • Work experience

  • Volunteering

  • Social, functional and independent living skills

  • Enterprise development e.g., growing, building, fixing and selling

  • Social entrepreneurship
